Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Guwahati → Transfer to Kaziranga

Arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station
Transfer to Kaziranga National Park (220 km / ~5 hrs)
Evening at leisure
Overnight: Kaziranga

Day 2: Kaziranga Safaris → Shillong (Elephant & Jeep Safari extra cost)

Early-morning Elephant Ride (5:30 / 6:30 / 7:30 AM, subject to forest dept. allotment)
Breakfast at hotel
Proceed to Shillong (4,900 ft) via Umiam Lake (280 km / 6–7 hrs)
Evening at leisure in Shillong
Overnight: Shillong

Note: Elephant & Jeep safaris are regulated by Assam Forest Dept., availability not guaranteed.

Day 3: Shillong → Cherrapunji

Breakfast & drive to Cherrapunji (60 km / ~4 hrs)
En route visit Mawkdok Valley, Nohkalikai Falls, Dainthlen Falls and drive past Ramakrishna Mission
Overnight: Cherrapunji

Day 4: Cherrapunji → Mawlynnong → Dawki → Shillong

Early breakfast & drive towards Mawlynnong (“Asia’s Cleanest Village”)
Visit Living Root Bridge, Balancing Rock, Tree House, Sky View Point
Continue to Dawki (Indo–Bangladesh border)
See the emerald-green Umngot River & suspension bridge
Return to Shillong & check in
Overnight: Shillong

Day 5: Shillong Sightseeing → Guwahati

Breakfast & check-out
Visit Don Bosco Museum & Ward’s Lake
Transfer to Guwahati (100 km / ~3 hrs)
Evening free for local market exploration
Overnight: Guwahati

Day 6: Guwahati Local Sightseeing

Breakfast at hotel
Visit Kamakhya Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple, Nabagraha Temple, Sukreswar Temple (6th Jyotirlinga), and Ropeway ride
